Moalboal is a small coastal town on the south-west side of Cebu island, about three hours from Cebu City. It is known for the sardine run at Panagsama Beach, turtles a few metres from shore, Kawasan Falls and canyoneering in nearby Badian, and whale sharks in Oslob down the coast. Living costs are low, the pace is slow and the time zone (UTC+8) lines up with Australian mornings and European afternoons. The house is in a residential lane in Tongo, Basdiot, 13 minutes on foot from the bars of Panagsama. Quiet hours from 10 PM to 8 AM, six rooms in total, and a team on site during the day.
Kitchen for long stays
A full shared kitchen with hob, microwave, espresso machine, ice-making fridge and utensils. Free drinking water on both floors. A grill outside. Groceries are 10 minutes away at Moalboal market and Gaisano Grand.

Scooter rental from PHP 300 per day, laundry collected and returned the next day, tours and transfers booked on the spot, free pick-up on arrival. Less admin, more work done.

A working week at OIA Suites
Mornings start with breakfast in the room or the dining area (Filipino or American set for PHP 250, ordered the night before) and a swim or snorkel at the small beach two minutes down the lane. Work happens at the desk in the suite or at the big table downstairs. Afternoons are for calls with Europe; evenings are for a scooter ride to Panagsama for dinner, or the grill at the house. Weekends are Kawasan Falls, the sardine run, Osmeña Peak or a day at White Beach.
Long stays
Rooms can be booked per night on the platforms, but for stays of a week or longer it is better to send a request through this website with the intended dates. The team quotes a long-stay rate directly. Daily cleaning is included and laundry can be arranged at the counter.

This place is fantastic! The room was clean and incredibly comfortable. If you want to escape the crowds, this is absolutely the best place to stay. They offer convenient motorcycle rentals on-site to help you get around.
The room was clean, comfortable, smelled fresh, and had everything we needed. One thing we really appreciated was the fully equipped kitchen, especially the fridge that dispenses crushed ice. The location is peaceful and slightly away from the busy diving area, making it a relaxing place to stay.

Practical notes for working from Moalboal
- Power: the local grid is generally reliable, but short interruptions happen in the Visayas. The team knows the quietest room and best times for important calls; a laptop with a charged battery bridges most outages.
- Mobile data: Globe and Smart both have 4G/LTE coverage in Basdiot. A local SIM or eSIM is a sensible second backup.
- Working spots: the desk in the suite and the big table downstairs are the usual places to work; cafés along Panagsama offer a change of scene.
- Visa: most nationalities get 30 days on arrival in the Philippines, extendable at the Bureau of Immigration in Cebu City. Check the current rules for the relevant passport before travelling.
- Construction: from 14 September 2026 a swimming pool is being built next to the house on weekdays from 8 to 11 AM and 2 to 5 PM. Guests who need silence in those hours should mention it in the request.
